...but i didn't like it. i had been looking forward to it for so long. now i'm glad they ended awesome show when they did. because this chrimbus special is evidence that they are indeed burned out, imo. they've always been a mixture of deranged yet delightful playfulness + menacing vulgarity that was yes at times unwatchable but somehow never approached misanthropy. but here they do approach that. david lynch-type territory. there were a few fresh moments like the good old days but overall it was actually depressing. are they angry about how successful they've become? think they might be. anyway, big bummer here.... far from their best work, not recommended.
I love the chrimbus holidays!

Tim and Eric are easily the best comedians of the past 10 or 20 years. Their style is so unique and avant-garde I was skeptical that they could make a close-to-full-length feature work with the brilliance of previous episodes. Well, they did. But don't expect a typical T&E:AS episode. But if you can keep an open mind the Chrimbus Special will easily become one of your favorites. Stay fresh Me Chippies

Tim and Eric get better and better with everything they do. From the beginning of their career with the video "Humpers" to "Awesome Show" to "Check it Out" and of course to "Chrimbus" they show no sign of stopping. And with Tim and Eric's Billion Dollar Movie coming out in 2011, what more can I say? They are true geniuses and this Chrimbus special is ABSO-LUTELY incredible! Oh Dee Vee, I wish you were my son.
